I've been pretty terrified of attempting portraits, because I always felt like I couldn't get them to look realistic. And then I decided they didn't have to look realistic, but could be whimsical representations of people I know.
There is also some text tucked in between the layers of paint, but they're more like little secrets that aren't meant to be deciphered.
As always, they are much more interesting in person than they are in the photographs. Regardless, I hope you enjoy them.
